TRNC set up second pandemic hospital

Health Ministry Undersecretary Ali Çaygür said that the Health Ministry has used all means possible to decrease the risk of the spread of COVID-19. 

Making a statement regarding the second pandemic centre to open within the Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, Çaygur said that the centre has 22 rooms; two rooms are for single patients and 20 rooms containing two beds. 

The centre also contains a 15 bed intensive care unit and has been fully furnished with the necessary equipment. 

He said that 15 positive patients will be placed at the hospital and will receive treatment. The health ministry undersecretary said that the patients will be transferred to pandemic hotels once they recover. 

Explaining that the third pandemic hospital will be put into service within a month’s time, Çaygür said that the third pandemic hospital will house a hundred beds.
