Man sexually assault ex-girl friend in Lefkosa, forcibly kissed and caressed her

A Turkish Cypriot man was detained over the weekend for sexually harassing his ex-girlfriend by beating, kissing her forcibly and caressing various part of her body. 

The suspect, identified as Abdullah İşçimen, was arrested and brought before a court on Saturday.

A police officer who testified to the matter in court said the suspect, committed the crime on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at about 2.30pm in Lefkosa in a Small Industrial Site Anonymous Earth, on the grounds that he could not digest his ex girlfriend's departure.

Police said the suspect grabbed the victim by the throat and jaw and severely beat her.

The victim said the suspect against her consent sexually assaulted and harassed her by kissing her lips and neck and caressing her legs and breasts.  

Police said they are still investigation the matter and demanded that the suspect be sent to prison for a period of one day.

Judge Meltem Dündar, who evaluated the testimony given in his presence, demanded that the suspect be detained by the police for 1 day for investigation purposes.
