Cyprus Weather Today: Temperatures to rise to 38C on Monday and 40C on Tuesday

The summer is still very much here as a low pressure system affecting Cyprus subsides and a warm air current take temperatures much higher than average for this time of year.

Temperatures will go up on Monday, much higher than the seasonal average, with thin dust expected.

Temperatures will rise to 38 degrees Celsius inland, 30 in western coastal regions, 31 in the rest of the coastal areas and 27 over the mountains.

At night, temperatures will drop to 21 degrees Celsius inland and in coastal regions and 16 over the mountains. 

Tuesday will be much hotter with temperatures set to reach 40 degrees and then dropping to 34 degrees on Wednesday.

Temperatures will start dropping steadily on Wednesday, still remaining above the seasonal average however. It will turn increasingly cloudy on Thursday.
