300 TL fine for those who do not wear a mask

Anyone found not wearing a face mask in North Cyprus will be fined 300 Turkish Lira.

Famagusta Deputy, Resmiye Eroğlu Canaltay, a member of the Administrative, Health and Social Affairs Committee made the announcement on social media on Wednesday. 

These days, we are going through a very difficult process, as the administrative, health and social affairs committee, we are finalizing the Communicable Diseases Amendment Law in our 6 meetings. We would love everyone to act with responsibilities and society would not be subject to these punishments. We put a lot of effort into this law as a committee.

Those who did not comply will be punished. For example, 380 TL fines and other penalties are applied to those who do not wear masks.

On Monday Parliament will meet to vote for the law.
