Nine new cases of coronavirus reported in North Cyprus on Monday

Nine new cases of covid-19 were reported in Northern Cyprus on Monday which brings the total number of cases there so far to 218.

TRNC Minister of Health Ali Pilli in an announcement stated that 2,412 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours and nine positive cases recorded.

Pilli said that three of the positive cases came to the TRNC by air, 1 by sea, 1 by someone who came in contact with a previous case and 4 were local cases. 

They have started receiving treatment at the State Hospital Quarantine Service in Lefkosa. 

Five people were discharged from the hospital after completing treatment.
