8 new cases of coronavirus reported in TRNC on Sunday

Eight new cases of coronavirus were reported in the TRNC on Sunday bringing the total number of cases there so far to 271.

TRNC Minister of Health Ali Pilli stated that 1,181 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours and 8 positive cases detected.

The Minister stated that two of the positive cases came to the TRNC by air, 1 by sea and 5 were in contact with a previous case.

They have started receiving treatment at the State Hospital Quarantine Service in Lefkosa. 

4 people were discharged from the hospital after completing treatment.
