16 new cases of coronavirus recorded in North Cyprus on Saturday
16 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the TRNC on Saturday bringing the total number of cases there so far to 263.
TRNC Minister of Health Ali Pilli stated that 2,070 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours and 16 positive cases recorded.
The Minister stated that 8 of the positive cases came to the TRNC by air, 1 by sea, 2 came in contact with a previous case and 5 others are workers working at the new airport construction site.
They have started receiving treatment at the State Hospital Quarantine Service in Lefkosa.
Seven people were discharged from the hospital after completing treatment.
