We dont need the 500TL but amnesty for illegal students in the TRNC - Former President, NANS-Turkish Zone
Former president of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS-Turkish Zone has called on the government of TRNC to grant amnesty to all international students living in the country illegally.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, July, 26, Comrade Zacks Jim welcomed the government's new initiative to grant purchase discount and 500 Turkish Lira to all registered international students living in the country in the 2020/2021 academic session but also urged them to help those living in the country illegally to become legal by granting them amnesty.
He went further saying the government should instead use the 500TL grant for students residents permit medical fees.
He also called on for the cooperation of all universities in Northern Cyprus on the issue. The Government of TRNC are supporting student with 500 Turkish lira about 75 dollars is a very very welcome idea. My personal opinion is we don’t need the 500tl.
~We want the government of TRNC to grant Amnesty to all students who in one way or the other have over stay and couldn’t do their residents permit due to Immigration penalty.
~ We the international community appreciate the TRCN government support but we are tired of staying illegally. We want to go back to school, he wrote on Facebook.

Further more #koopbank initiatives are very good please am pleading instead of giving us the 500 Turkish liras please use it for our residents permit medical fees, he added.
