United Nations announces death of 28 personnel from Covid 19

United Nations (UN) announced that 28 of their personnel have died due to Coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic.

 28 of them lost their lives, and the information released  did not provide information about the country or offices where UN staff where based.

In a statement, UN Information Services Director Alessandra Vellucci said they were among the 1,140 staff that had contracted the virus as of June 21.

On the other hand, the UN Geneva Offices reopened for regular press conferences to journalists for updates on the work of the organisation .

Since March,it was announced that  journalists who do not want to watch the meetings on the spot with the concern of their own safety , will be able to follow the press conferences with the video conference method.
