TRNC electricity authority introduces summer electricity tariff
The TRNC electricity authority has introduced a new electricity tariff for summer period starting on Monday, June 1.
In the new tariff tagged “You have three-time control” application, the cheapest hours will between 11:00pm -9:00am on weekdays and between 2:00am-9:00am on weekends and holidays.
In accordance with the application by the Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority, subscribers will be able to switch in between different tariffs in winter and summer.
In the summer schedule that will last until October 31st, the cheapest hours are 11:00pm-9:00am on weekdays and between 2:00am-9:00am on weekends and holidays.
Time periods with the highest tariff are between 9:00am-6:00pm on weekdays and between 2:00pm and 6:00pm on weekends.
Also, different fees will be applied between 6:00pm-11:00pm on weekdays, 9:00am-2:00pm and 6:00pm-2:00am on weekends and public holidays.
According to the tariff during off-peak hours on weekdays,
-The kilowatt-hour charge of electricity is 0.6508 TL,
-The regular hourly rate is 0.9873 TL;
-The fee for busy hours is 1,2908 TL.
On weekends and public holidays,
-The kilowatt-hour price will be 0,6308 TL,
-Regular hours are 0,9873 TL and
-The peak hours are 1,2708 TL.
Discounts
Subscribers with an electricity bill below 300 kilowatts will benefit from a 15 percent discount. Approximately 70 percent of subscribers using residential tariffs benefit from this discount.
A 15 percent discount will be applied until the end of June to those who pay their bills within 30 days.
