TRNC authority urge residents whose permit has expired to renew before July, 11

The TRNC Ministry of Interior has announced that residents whose Residence Permit has expired  should make application to renew their permits starting from June, 11 and finalize the application before 11 July to avoid penalties.

In the statement released by the ministry, people who will be renewing their permits will have to do it via the online platform according to the framework of the criteria set out in the Residence Permits and Visas Regulations.

It has been observed that the online system, which will enable them to make their applications over the Internet, will start accepting applications as of June 11, 2020.

Accordingly those applying are  required to complete residence permit application process within  30 days from 11 June 2020 to 11 July 2020.

According to the ministry’s statement those who fail to complete their applications within the stipulated period will be liable to penalties.

THESE ARE THE STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED 
In the statement made by the Ministry, the procedure that the people are to follow during applications  for residence permit are  as follows:

1. The applicants must first register for the application by visiting the residence permit portal, which is the official website of the ministry, http://icisleri.gov.ct.tr/.

 2. Applicants must fill in the online application registration section accurately and completely.

3. The people who register on the website  will be sent an SMS indicating that the application has been registered by the system.  A special user name and password will be sent to the applicant in this message.

4. It is compulsory for security reasons  to change the personal password sent to the applicants via SMS by first-time users.

5. The applicant will fill the necessary information completely and accurately by marking the option that matches the criteria of the residence permit types.

6. Applicants are required to upload their passport and residence document to the system.

7. After the application process is completed, together with the documents requested through the system, the applicants have to visit their nearest  police stations  to complete their procedures according to their application.

8. Together with the requested documents, people should be ready on the day and time of the appointment given by the regional police directorates.

9. After the approval of the regional police directorate, applicants will pay the health analysis fee and health insurance fee through the online system.  After this stage, applicants will be directed to Laboratory or hospital for health checks.

10. Applicants over the age of 60 are only required to pay the health insurance fee.

11. After the health report of the applicant reaches our immigration office and the eligibility of the residence permit criteria is determined, the persons will be requested to pay the residence fee through the online system.

12. The applicant can then log in to the system with his personal password and print the Residence Permit document.
