Students can come to the TRNC without hesitation - TRNC PM Ersin Tatar
As life returns to normal in the TRNC, authorities are making arrangement that will enable students come to the island and stay in places
deemed suitable by their universities, provided they have coronavirus test.
TRNC Prime Minister, Ersin Tatar made the statement to the press on Thursday evening following a meeting he had with Turkish Cypriot leader, Mustafa Akinci at President’s office in Lefkosa.
He stated that his meeting with president Akinci was directed towards normalization in the country, in addition to the condition of conducting a PCR test, as of July 1, when the country will start to open it’s boarder with the outside world.
Noting that there is hesitation in student applications for next session, Tatar said that life in the TRNC is returning to normal and that students can come to the country and register and reside on their campus.
He said the government is working on an arrangement that will enable foreign students who study or wish to study in the country to come to the country and stay in places deemed suitable by their universities, provided that the students have a PCR test.

He emphasized that “wearing of mask , keeping social distance and some adjustments should be used”.
Tatars said the government will work on the rules to be applied to those who come from Turkey and those leaving the TRNC through Turkey.
