Cyprus Science University (KIU) to offer it's dormitories free of charge to students for quarantine

Cyprus Science University (KIU) has announced that its students from abroad will be greeted at the airport as soon as they arrive on the island and will be provide free accommodation in their facilities and dormitories in line with their control in accordance with the 14-day quarantine rule.

In a written statement to it's students and the public on Saturday, May, 30, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cyprus Science University, Selman Arslanbaş, explained that the university planned the whole process to the best of its students during the pandemic period, established an information system, gave out food supplies and health needs in student houses and dormitories.

In line with the decisions made and / or to be taken, we would like to state that we will always fulfill the responsibility of our family bond with the student of KİU. We will provide their accommodation, he said.

On the other hand, Near East University, Eastern Mediterranean University and Girne American University also announced that their students could stay in quarantine on campus for free.

The government also said that, from July,1, students will no longer be required to stay in quarantine on their arrival.
