20-year-old student killed in road side car collision in North Cyprus
A 20-year-old student who was injured in a car collision on Thursday night while walking on the side of the road has died.
The incident happened at about 10:30pm on Thursday when Ngoy David Kakudji, 20 was hit by a vehicle in Karaoğlanoğlu, Lefkosa.
He sustained serious injury in the incident and was taken to Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkosa but could not be saved despite all interventions.
The car was driver by a 22-year-old Turkish Cypriot, Mustafa Volkan Hasanbulli, who was driving to Kyrenia on Karaoğlanoğlu Street in Karaoğlanoğlu when he crashed into Ngoy David Kakudji, who was walking on the side of the road at the time.
The car driver was arrested, as police carry out investigation.
