TRNC Government announces new measures on easing of restrictions in the country

The TRNC Council of Ministers announces new time table on the further easing of restrictions in the country.

The Council of Ministers convened in Güzelyurt on Monday where they made the new decisions. 

Briefing the media after the meeting, spokesman for the Council of Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister Kudret Özersay said the government has decided it will ease more restrictions in what he termed "New opening in a closed system."

Below are some of the measures taken to ease restrictions in the country; 
The following will open on Wednesday, May 20
-Beaches, hotel beaches and buffets.
-Internet cafes.
-Village coffee houses. 
-Restaurants
-Night Curfew will start from 00.00 to 06.00am.  

The following will open on Friday May 22
-Playgrounds.

The following will open on Sunday, May 24
-Worship will be possible in religious places, including the Eid Prayer.

The following will open on Wednesday May 27
-Sports halls

The following will open on Monday, June, 1
-Hotels and casinos and betting offices.
-Individual sports branches will start.

A meeting with Kar-İş will be held on Wednesday May 20 to determine modalities for the resumption of Public Transport.

If the conditions of 'Covid-19' in the country continue in the current situation, wedding halls will be opened on 1 July.  

Also the 'quarantine' process would continue for all arrivals from abroad.
