Summer working hour in public to begin on May 11 in TRNC

The TRNC Council of Ministers on Monday, May, 4 approved a new regulation on summer working hours.

The new regulation is in accordance with the Article 102 of the Public Health Law No. 6/2009 as amended by the 105th Article of the Public Servants Law No. 7/1979.

According to the approved decision, the summer work in the public will start from Monday, May, 11 Friday, September 21, 2020.

The new regulations is as follows.

1. The implementation of the following summer working hours in institutions other than essential services, which are continuous 24 hours a day are as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 08.00-14.30

Thursday: 08.00 - 12.30, 13.00 - 17.30
Saturday / Sunday: Holiday

2. In order to ensure compliance with the working hours of the Cyprus Turkish Port Workers Company;
-Gazimağusa Chief Guidance and Port Authority,
-Girne Chief Guidance and Port Authority,
-Gazimağusa Customs Branch Directorate,
-Girne Customs Branch Directorate

implementation of the following summer working hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 08.00-14.30
Thursday: Ö.E .: 08.00 - 12.00 -  Ö.S. : 12.30 - 17.30
Saturday / Sunday: Holiday

3. Affiliated to the Department of State Production Farms, which requires working irregularly in accordance with paragraph (4) of Article 105 of the Law on Public Servants;
- Şht. Doğuş Uran State Production Farms,
- Pottery State Production Farms,
- Paşaköy State Production Farms and
- Ercan State Production Farms:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 07.30-14.00
Thursday: Ö.E .: 07.30 - 12.00 : Ö.S. : 12.30 - 17.00
Saturday-Sunday: Holiday

In addition, upon the request of the Department Manager, the personnel working on the farms can be employed not to exceed 35 hours a week and to be on leave for two days a week (2), except for the above mentioned working hours .

4. To the public servants who work in the health services affiliated with the Inpatient Treatment Institutions Department and the health services affiliated with the Primary Health Services Department and who are out of the scope of the Public Health Workers Law No. 6/2009 as amended.

Monday-Friday: 07.45-14.45 Saturday –Sunday: Holiday

5. To the public health workers working in the health services affiliated to the Inpatient Treatment Institutions Department and the health services affiliated to the Primary Health Services Department and under the Public Health Workers Law No. 6/2009 as amended.

Monday-Friday: 07.45-14.45 Saturday –Sunday: Holiday

6. The working hours of public officials and public health workers working in the form of shifts and rotations are arranged by their institutions to not exceed 35 hours a week.
