One death and two new cases of coronavirus in south Cyprus
One death and two new cases of coronavirus were reported in southern Cyprus on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases there to 903 including 10 at British Bases.
The death concerns a 72-year-old woman with underlying health issues who died at Famagusta General hospital. She died with the virus, but not of the virus, Cyprus's national health service (Okypy)’s scientific director, Dr Marios Loizou said.
The deaths with coronavirus rose to 23, while the deaths from the virus remained at 16, including 11 men and five women with an average age of 71.
The new cases were confirmed from 1,153 tests carried out on Tuesday.
The two cases both came from tests conducted under private initiative.
