One death and six new cases of coronavirus reported in south Cyprus
One death and six new cases of coronavirus were reported in southern Cyprus on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 898 including 10 at British Bases.
The new cases were reported from a total of 1,393 test carried out on Sunday.
Four of the new cases concerned people who were tested through the programme for vulnerable groups, and two who went privately for testing.
The death concerns a 73-year-old woman with serious underlying conditions who died on Sunday. The cause of death was attributed to Covid-19.
The total number of coronavirus related death in southern Cyprus stands at 22, of which 16 are directly attributable to Covid-19. Of the 16, deaths, 11 are men and five women with an average age of 71.
