Man injures mother with a knife in Famagusta, sent to prison for 3 days
A Turkish Cypriot man was sent to jail on Sunday for injuring his mother with a knife in Famagusta, north Cyprus.
The man identified as Hüseyin Toran, committed the crime on Sunday, a day when the country and the world at large celebrates Mother Day.
According to report, he injured his mother with a knife, for verbally shouting her him on the grounds that he was swearing.
He was arrested after the incident and taken to a court in Lefkosa where he said he has been undergoing psychological treatment for a long time.
