Egyptian and Syrian nationals die from electric shock at Famagusta port
Two workers cleaning a ship at the Famagusta port in North Cyprus died from electric shock on Wednesday.
The incident happened around 2:00 pm on Wednesday.
The victims, Ahmed Mohamed Hassan YOUSSEF, 23, an Egyptian national and Hosin ALOTHMAN, 26, a Syrian national were both on board an anchor ship at the port when the incident happened.
Reports say they were both exposed to electric current while on the ship's deck. They were rushed to the port by boat.
They could not be saved ddespite all efforts by medical officers.
