Body of 27-year-old Mehmet Ceyhan who went missing on Saturday has been found

The lifeless body of 27-year-old Mehmet Ceyhan who went missing on Saturday was found in the sea of Alagadi, near Kyrenia by police on Wednesday morning, five days after he went missing. 

Mehmet Ceyhan disappeared last Saturday when he went to swim with his 22-year-old friend Giouzde Nour Binbir, who also drowned with him and whose body was found on Sunday.

The body was recovered about 500 metres from the shore, near Elexus Beach on Wednesday.

Mehmet Ceyhan, was in the company of friends in the Alagadi-3 location beach on Saturday where they went to swim. 

Ceyhan jumped into the sea in an effort to help rescue his friend 22-year-old Gözde Nur Binbir who was overcome by heavy sea waves. Her body was recovered few hours later while Ceyhan was missing.
