39 people arrested for not wearing mask and violating curfew in TRNC

39 people were arrested in several parts of the country between Thursday and Friday for violating curfew.

According to police report, they were arrested during police inspection between 6:00am on Thursday, April, 30 and 6:00am on Friday, May, 1.

30 were identified and arrested for violating the partial curfew in place between 6:00am to 9:00pm on Thursday, while 9 people were arrested for violating the total lockdown between 9:00pm on Thursday to 6:00am on Friday.

Four people were also arrested for not wearing mask.

They will be investigated and prosecuted by the police and if found guilty, will be made to pay a fine or go to jail for a period not exceeding one year.
