Twenty-nine new cases, one death reported in south Cyprus
29 new cases of coronavirus and one death were recorded in southern Cyprus on Monday.
The new cases bring the total number of cases there to 662, including 10 from the British bases.
The death concern a 79-year-old man who died of coronavirus on Sunday evening.
Of the 29 new cases, 19 people were
identified through contact tracing of known cases; among them a health
professional and a patient at Larnaca hospital.
The rest are people who got tested as part of the 20,000 tests being carried out among civil and private sector workers, reports Cyprus Mail.
So far, 12 people have died from Covid-19 in southern Cyprus, while five others who had the virus died of other health issues.
