Thieves blow up ATM in south Cyprus, stole thousands of euros
Thieves blew up an ATM at a bank branch in southern Cyprus on Tuesday night and stole thousands of euros.
The incident happened at the Ayia Fyla area in Limassol, at about 3:20am on Tuesday.
The thieves used an explosive device on the ATM.
Police said they were investigating a case of theft and attempted theft.
They added that the explosion had destroyed the ATM and damaged the facade of the bank. No indication was given as to how much money was stolen.
