Reopening of schools in TRNC and resuming classes last item on government agenda
TRNC Prime Minister Ersin Tatar has said reopening
of schools in north Cyprus and resuming classes was the last item on the government's agenda.
Tatar made the statement on Wednesday during a TV programm.
According to him, it was pleasing to see the coronavirus curves remaining flat but added that it was important not to be complacent regarding the measures yet.
The prime Minister said reopening schools and resuming classes was the last item on their agenda adding that places like schools were crowded areas where social distancing was difficult to maintain.
He said they were acting in line with recommendations made by health experts.
Tatar added that restaurant owners have requested to carry out home delivery services.

We’re not out of the woods yet and will need to stay at home for a little longer, he said.

We will make up for the losses in education one way or the other, Tatar said.
He said they were acting in line with recommendations made by health experts.
Tatar added that restaurant owners have requested to carry out home delivery services.
We shall be evaluating these requests. Shall we be able to open the construction sector? But let me stress once again. Our priority is health. We need to make the right decisions without rushing into anything, Tatar said.
