9 new cases of coronavirus and 1 death reported in south Cyprus on Friday
Nine new cases of coronavirus and 1 death were reported in southern Cyprus on Friday, bringing the
total number of confirmed cases to 804.
The causality concerns a 69-year-old man with underlying health issues who died at the Nicosia General on Thursday. This brings the total number of deaths in south Cyprus to 19.
14 had died of coronavirus and five died with coronavirus. From the 14 Covid-19 deaths, ten were men and four were women.
Four of the nine new cases were found from among 1,447 tests carried out from the sampling of 20,000 workers in the private and public sector.
Another three were found through contact tracing and another two were found from 659 tests carried out on individuals, who got tested of their own initiative.
