63 people arrested for violating the ban

About 63 people were arrested across the TRNC between Tuesday and Wednesday for violating the government curfew. 

According to police press release, 63 people were arrested during inspection carried out across the country between Tuesday, April, 7 and Wednesday, April 8.

Of the 63 people arrested, 41 were arrested for violating the partial lockdown in place between the hours of 6:00am to 9:00pm and 22 people were arrested after 9:00pm for violating the total lockdown in place between the hours of 9:00pm to 6:00am.

Those arrested will be prosecuted.
