449 people arrested in one week for violating curfew in north Cyprus
A total of 449 people were arrested in one week in north Cyprus for violating the curfew and 12 businesses were
penalized for opening despite the ban.
Police on Monday released data on the number of violations recorded in the past week with the highest number of offenders in Famagusta with 127 incidents.
According to the Police Press Officer, during the patrols carried out by the police to monitor the partial curfew, throughout the country from 6:00am to 9:00pm, it was determined that a total of 315 people violated the curfew, while 134 people were found on the streets after 9pm when the full curfew began.
12 people kept their businesses open despite the ban and two people violated the quarantine rules and the persons in question were arrested.
Meanwhile, 79 people were arrested between Sunday and Monday for violating curfew.
58 were arrested for violating the partial curfew between the hours of 6:00am to 9:00pm and 21 people were arrested for violating the total lockdown between 9:00pm on Sunday to 6:00am on Monday.
