TRNC announces precautionary measures to curb corona virus in the country
The North Cyprus authorities has announced several precautionary measures to curb corona virus in the country following an extraordinary meeting of the Council
of Ministers Tuesday.
The measures is as follows;
- All charter flights will be cancelled until April 1.
- All schools will be closed until March 15. The schools will be disinfected.
- Children festivals and activities will be banned.
- Tour groups from the south to the north of the island will not be allowed.
- 3 hotels in the TRNC will remain under quarantine.
- Disinfection of all museums and archaeological sites in Gazimağusa has started.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kudret Özersay said Tuesday measures would be reviewed in accordance with the developing situation.

The coronavirus is said to have originated in China; so far it has claimed more than 4,000 lives all over the world.
There are said to be over 116,048 virus cases in the world, according to the website, Worldometer.
