New case of Covid-19 confirmed in North Cyprus
A new case of coronavirus, a Turkish Cypriot, and the second of such on Saturday has been confirmed in Northern Cyprus, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 35.
TRNC Health Minister Dr. Ali Pilli in a statement said result of the test done on a person who was in close contact with a confirmed coronavirus patient who is currently on treatment came out positive.
With the new case, the number of positive patients in the TRNC rose to 35, of which 31 are German nationals and 4 Turkish Cypriot.
Three people were declared free of the virus on Friday and discharged from hospital. This leaves the total number of people with the virus in north Cyprus at 32.
