Five new cases of coronavirus confirmed in North Cyprus

Five new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Northern Cyprus on Monday bringing the total number of cases there to 69.

TRNC Health Minister Ali Pilli made the announcement on Monday. 

One of the new cases was detected in Karpaz, 2 in Lapta and 2 in Gönyeli 

Distribution by regions is as follows:

Nicosia: 9

Miter: 2

Famagusta: 3

Declared: 3

Lapta: 6

Kyrenia: 2

Pier / Karpaz: 14

Ali Pilli said that one of the cases was caused by contact in the Karpaz area, two of whom came in contact wit a patient at the Lapta region, the other two were in Gönyeli, and these people were in contact with a person from Beyarmudu, and the person in question came from England.

Pilli also stated that 1177 tests have been carried out so far and the total number of cases is 69, the number of patients discharged is 29 and the number of patients whose treatment is completed is 39. 
 
Pointing out that there are currently 3 patients in intensive care, Pilli emphasized that the general health of other patients is good except for patients in intensive care.
