Frightening fire damaged several houses in Lefkosa wall city

At least 1 person was seriously injured and three houses affected in a fire that broke out in a house located at the Nicosia Walled street in north Cyprus early Thursday morning.

17-year old Alperen Başarır, who was affected by the smoke, was taken to the Lefkosa State Hospital, while other residents who were awake during the incident had fearful moments.

The fire, which started at about 5:30 in the morning from an electric stove, caused great damage to the house

The rapidly growing fire also touched two nearby houses.

Residents tried to put out the fire before the arrival of fire fighters. 

Various items, including suspended ceiling, plastic water tank and heater were damaged by the fire.
