Yemeni international arrested and detained for drug offense in north Cyprus
A Yemeni international studying Mechanical Engineering at the Near East University has been arrested and detained for drug offense.
The suspect identified only as A.H.S was reportedly caught with about 372 pills of drugs in an operation organized by the TRNC narcotics team in Kucuk Kaymakli, Lefkosa at about 10:00pm on Friday, January 24.
Drugs and money believed to be obtained from sales of the drugs were seized from the suspect.
The suspect was brought to a court in Lefkosa on Saturday. He was jailed for 3 days pending investigation.
