Student jailed for violating military forbidden zone in Lefkosa
A woman who tried to cross the Lefkosa border with southern Cyprus illegally has been detained for violating military forbidden zone.
The accused only identified as A.S.Y, was identified and arrested at about 2:00am on Sunday, November, 10 while she was trying to cross from north to south Cyprus illegally.
She was taken to a court in Lefkosa on Sunday afternoon following the arrest.
Police prosecutor accused her of violating a First Order military forbidden zone in Lefkosa.
Police in it's report said the accused came into the country with a student visa on November, 8.
She was ordered to remain in custody for 3 days for the police to carry out investigation on her and her helper.
