Over 700 unregistered workers deported from North Cyprus
About 700 unregistered workers were deported from North Cyprus in 2019.
According to a report by the TRNC Minister of Labour Faiz Sucuoglu, there are around 8,000 unregistered workers in the country.
Sucuoglu said that the aim of the government is to register more than 6,000 of these workers and that between 750-800 persons have been deported already.
He also said that the general social security plan for the years 2019-2021 is ready to be signed with Turkey and will be submitted for approval to the assembly in 2020.
