Man arrested for trying to enter south Cyprus illegally
A 31-year-old man who tried to enter south Cyprus through the shared border with North Cyprus in Famagusta was captured by soldiers.
The suspect identified only as O.P.N was caught trying to get down the walls of Famagusta at about 12:05am on Sunday.
He was arrested and handed over to police.
Police demanded that he be detained for three days, saying his legal status and his desire to cross the south would be investigated.
