A Greek Cypriot woman has been detained in North Cyprus for stealing a wallet from a
clothes shop in Lefkosa.
The woman was arrested on Wednesday and taken to a court in Lefkosa on her return to the north of Cyprus.
According media report, the woman was suspected of stealing a wallet on Saturday after another customer had forgotten it in a dressing room of a clothes shop .
The wallet contained 700 Turkish lira and the owner’s driving licence.
It is believed that the suspect took the wallet and crossed to the south on the same day but was arrested when she crossed to the north again on Tuesday through the Ayios Dometios crossing point
She was detained for up to 15 days until trial.
