David Beckham wants Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira to become the first ever head coach of Inter Miami.
The 43-year-old is currently in charge of Ligue 1 side Nice and the Telegraph report that he is Beckham’s first choice to lead his new MLS side in their debut season in 2020.
Vieira, the World Cup winning Frenchman, has previous experience of managing in the United States, having spent two-and-a-half years in charge of New York City.
It is not the first time Vieira has been linked with a move away from Nice this term, as he has also been targeted by his former club, Arsenal.
Inter will begin their inaugural MLS season next March playing at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, with plans to move into their new stadium, Miami Freedom Park, when it has been built in 2020.
