Woman confesses to throwing hot boiling water on toddler for urinating on floor

A New Jersey woman confessed to pouring hot boiling water on a three-year-old boy after he accidentally urinated on her son’s bedroom floor last year. 

He sustained second-degree burns.

NJ.com reports Patricia Buchan,29, confessed during her court hearing that she told the child to remove his clothing then sit in a bathtub while she grabbed a pot of hot boiling water from a stove then poured it on his back. 

The Newark resident said the incident occurred on Dec. 4, 2018. Buchan and the five other adults who lived in the apartment were charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

The child endured abuse in the house from July 2018 from each adult. Prosecutors said during the hearing that the beatings were “systematic and coordinated” after the adults consistently punched the boy and poured boiling water on his body.
