Tuesday is public holiday to mark Turkey’s republic Day

The proclamation of the Republic of Turkey will be celebrated on Tuesday with various ceremonies in Turkey and Northern Cyprus.

The celebration is to mark the 96th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.

A 21-gun salute was also fired to mark the occasion.

A procession will take place in Lefkosa to mark the occasion on Tuesday afternoon.

The march will take place at Mehmet Akif Avenue in Lefkoşa at 3pm.

Similar events will take place in all the other major cities in the TRNC.
