Student arrested for entering a house unlawfully in Gonyeli
A student who was arrested on charges of opening and entering a house at night in Gonyeli has been taken to court in Lefkosa.
The suspect, a student in the country is accused of entering an apartment building located at Abdulbari Salka Street in Gonyeli at about 8:30pm on Sunday, October, 20.
He was arrested on the same day.
He was brought to a court in Lefkosa on Wednesday on charges of breaking and entry and intentional damage. Police said he voluntarily testified and accepted the charges.
Police prosecutor told the court the accused entered the apartment through the balcony and unlawfully broke the kitchen door.
The accused lawyer told the court that the accused did not commit the crime as he stay in the house with his friend and nephew from time to time.
He was released on bail and banned from leaving the country until trial.
