North Cyprus to introduce new-style driving license

The TRNC Ministry of Public Works and Transportation have commenced plans to introduce a new driving licences that meet international standards and are valid internationally. 

With the conclusion of the tender process, applications for new driving licenses will be accepted. 

TRNC drivers’ licences that are valid for at least two-years will be replaced free of charge while canging licences valid for less than two years will attract a fee.

Applications for driving licence renewal will also be accepted online. However, first time applicants will need to make their applications in person, so that their signatures can be recorded electronically. 

The new driver’s licence will be delivered by private courierto the address given in three working days, upon request.
