Leicester make Premier League history with 9-0 walloping of Southampton and sents twitter into meltdown
Leicester City set a new record on Friday night, securing the biggest away win in Premier League history with a 9-0 destruction of Southampton.
The Foxes were in rampant mood at St Mary’s capitalising on the red card for Ryan Bertrand just 12 minutes in to completely demolish their hosts on the south coast.
There were hat-tricks for Ayoze Perez and Jamie Vardy, while Ben Chilwell, Youri Tielemans and James Maddison also got on the score sheet.
The incredible result is the biggest away win, not only in the Premier League, but in top flight history.
9-0 also matched the record for the biggest ever Premier League win, with Manchester United also beating Ipswich 9-0 back in March 1995.
