Woman who cut off man’s penis after he shared their sex tape jailed for 13 years

Brenda Barattini, 28, was found guilty of the attempted murder of Sergio Fernandez, 42, and sentenced to 13 years in prison.

The woman who is accused of cutting her boyfriend's penis off with a pair of scissors has revealed why she allegedly did it in an interview given from jail. 26 year old Brenda Barattini is being kept in pre-trial detention after she was arrested for cutting off the genitals of her 40-year-old lover Sergio Fernandez in November 2017. The man???s life was reportedly at risk after the shocking incident which saw 90 percent of his penis cut off in the Nueva Cordoba area of the Argentinian city of Cordoba, in the province of the same name. Barattini has now claimed she decided to attack Fernandez???s genitals with a pair of scissors because he shared an intimate video of the pair with his friends. She told a reporter: "I cut his penis but not completely: I injured him. It wasn???t complete: I injured him. "They didn???t find the video, I don???t know what happened." Barattini stated that she never said it wasn???t her and that she didn???t do it for nothing. She added that the man hurt her and what he did to her should not be done to a human. The 26 year old says that the damage he did to her was very harmful and psychological, claiming that although her response may not have been perfect, at least it was a response. She added: "I left to ask for help. I did not want anything to happen to him, besides, I was afraid of the blood." One of the lawyers of the mutilated man, Felipe Trucco, said that it was a very dangerous and violent incident and his client is depressed as he awaits for the operations that still need to be done. Barattini is serving imprisonment without bail ahead of her trial and reportedly said she regrets her decision. (ends)
