UK's Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s brother quits government

Few Hours after suffering a humiliating series of Brexit defeats in Parliament, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson suffered yet another shock as his younger brother, Jo Johnson dramatically resigned from government and parliament in what many interpreted as an apparent protest at his leadership.

 Jo Johnson announced his resignation amid the controversy of whether and how the U.K. will be leaving the European Union.

In recent weeks I’ve been torn between family loyalty and the national interest, Johnson, who was a minister in his brother Boris' Cabinet, said on Twitter.

It’s an unresolvable tension and time for others to take on my roles as MP and minister.
