Swedish tourist arrested at airport in south Cyprus for failing to pay hotel bill
A Swedish tourist was arrested at Paphos Airport, south Cyprus on Wednesday evening after a hotelier complained to police that he had left without paying his €720 bill.
According to the report by Greek Cypriot daily, philenews, the Swedish tourist had stayed at the Kato Paphos Hotel for a week. At the end of his holiday, he packed up his belongings and went to the airport.
But police were alerted by the hotel manager and the tourist was arrested. He paid his bill, but his troubles are still not over as police are waiting for instructions from the attorney general’s office on how to proceed.
