Prisoner in south Cyprus hide drugs and phone inside his body while in court

A Greek Cypriot convict who was being taken back to prison after appearing in court for a different case was caught with four mobile telephones hidden in his body.

According to the report by Greek Cypriot daily, philenews, the 28 year old man who is serving time for burglaries was taken from Central Prison to a court in Limassol where he is on trial for driving under the influence of drugs.

While in court, the convict obtained four mobile phones and some drugs which he hid in his rectum.

During checks on  his return to prison, wardens found he had something hidden in his body.

He was taken to a hospital in Nicosia the items removed from him and returned to jail.
