Paedophile injected boy with steroids giving him ‘man's body’ in abuse campaign

A paedophile injected a boy with steroids giving him the “body of a man” while grooming him for sex after meeting him at the gym.

John Andrew Carter, 39, first preyed on the child, then aged 12, by pretending to help him weight train.

He befriended him and his family, and would buy him clothes and give him money.

Carter, 21 years older than his victim, would secretly inject testosterone into the youth's shoulders and bottom.

And he sexually abused the child over a two-year period, Manchester Crown Court heard.

After the youth suddenly developed "the body of a man", teachers and family became suspicious, but he "flipped" when his mum confronted him, accusing him of taking steroids.
