North Cyprus Foreign Minister Kudret Özersay meets with Pakistani Foreign Minister, discuss Pakistani nationals studying in the TRNC

The North Cyprus Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kudret Özersay meets with Pakistani Foreign Minister in New York on Thursday and discussed Pakistani nationals studying and working in the TRNC

Kudret Özersay met with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi at the UN headquarters and bilateral relations between the two countries as well as regional issues were taken up.

The situation of Pakistani students studying and working in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was also taken up.

Issuing a statement after the meeting the Deputy Prime Minister-Foreign Minister Kudret Özersay noted that there were a number of Pakistani nationals receiving their education in the TRNC and then there were those who were working in the country.

With this in mind, I met with the Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Qureshi and discussed a variety of issues at the UN headquarters. The meeting was very fruitful. We will continue to meet with him in the future as well, said Özersay.
