Cristiano Ronaldo finally finds 'Edna' who offered him food as a youngster

Cristiano Ronaldo has finally found the woman known as Edna Caldas, 36, who gave him free burger as a child when he had nothing after the Juventus star launched a search for her this week.

She has been identified as of one of the three McDonald’s ladies and according to Mirror citing Portuguese sports daily Record.

Ronaldo commenced a search for the mystery Mcdonald’s lady called Edna and two others employees during an interview with ace journalist Piers Morgan on ITV.

The five time Ballon d’Or winner revealed that the trio working at a Mcdonald’s eatery near his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon stadium, handed them burgers whenever they showed up, but he could not trace them again after the shop was closed. 

Ronaldo offered to invite the trio to Turin or Lisbon for dinner if he gets to find them. Later, Morgan later tweeted that Paula Leca, who was quoted on Portuguese radio as one of the women, is not among the ladies Cristiano keen on meeting However, the true ‘Edna’ known as Edna Carina Emanuel Caldas, told Portuguese sports daily Record that she was excited learning that the football star was looking for her. 

I’m happy and it just shows how humble he is. I’m no-one really for him to remember me like that, Edna noted, even as she quickly added. This was something that all happened such a long time ago. I’m really happy at what he’s gone on to become. I never thought he would remember me so many years on.

It shows how wonderful he is that he hasn’t forgotten small things like this from his past, noted Edna, who also confessed having coffee with Ronaldo on one occasion.
